Preparing for a Minnesota Cosmetology License
Hastings Beauty School offers the state required 1550 hour diploma in Cosmetology which leads to a Certificate of Completion. The program is conducted over a 48 week period with students attending classes from 11:30 am to 8 pm on Monday, and from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm Tuesday through Friday.
The program includes:
- 240 hours of basic instruction and pre-clinical training skills in: related science, business and salon management, safety and sanitation, and other elected subjects.
- 180 hours of additional instruction in related theory and sciences.
- 1130 hours of applied science and clinical skills in: shampooing, scalp and hair conditioning, hair design and shaping, chemical hair control, hair coloring, hair styling, facials and makeup and manicures.
Preparing for a Wisconsin Cosmetology License
Hastings Beauty School offers the state required 1550 hour program in Cosmetology which leads to a Certificate of Completion. The program is conducted over a 48 week period with students attending classes from 11:30 am to 8 pm on Monday, and from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm Tuesday through Friday.
The program includes:
- 240 hours of basic instruction and pre-clinical training skills in: related science, business and salon management, safety and sanitation, and other elected subjects.
- 298 hours of additional instruction in related theory and sciences.
- 1012 hours no less than 10 months of applied science and clinical skills in: shampooing, scalp and hair conditioning, hair design and shaping, chemical hair control, hair coloring, hair styling, facials and makeup and manicures.

Hastings Beauty School is a Federal Title IV participating school offering the following federal and state Student Financial Aid programs as well as other payment options and plans:
- Federal Direct Loans for those who qualify
- Federal Pell Grants for those who qualify
- Minnesota State Grants for those who qualify
- SELF Loan administered by the Minnesota Office of Higher Education
- Self-payment plans available for those who qualify
